Inter-America's Bible bowl finalists have less than a week to review the Book of Revelation before they face off each other for this year's grand finale competition set to take place in Petit Bourg, Guadeloupe, on Dec. 12, 2009.
The 18 finalists representing Inter-America's major church regions will have the opportunity to show evidence of their Bible knowledge during a one-hour session of 40 questions on any of the 22 chapters of the Book of Revelation in front of a live audience.
This year's Bible Bowl finale becomes the sixth such competition to take place in Inter-America and the first to be held in a French-speaking country.
“We are very excited that our young people throughout Inter-America have been studying the book of Revelation,” says Pastor Bernardo Rodriguez, youth ministries director for the church in Inter-America.
“Revelation is a key for the times we are living in for the church and the world, because it is the revelation of Jesus that allows us to reach our vision and that is to prepare for the Kingdom of God.”
The competition will be streamed live over the internet beginning at 3:00 p.m. Miami Time, or 4:00 p.m. Guadeloupe Time, on Saturday, Dec. 12. The live program will be held in Spanish with translation into French and English.
