World Nursing Day is commemorated every year in all countries and not only by the Adventist community. In the Inter-American Division, although we do not yet have the statistics, we know that our community has many nurses and especially female nurses.

1. All Adventist health institutions will be able to celebrate this day with the global community. The International Council of Nursing website https://www.icn.ch/how-we-do-it/campaigns/international-nurses-day contains programs and resources for this commemoration.
2. All churches can plan to honor their nursing members this weekend.
3. Union administrations may join forces with professional associations to commemorate nursing professionals in our community who deserve special recognition.
4. We should honor non-Adventist professionals whose work, professionalism, and life achievements bless the entire country.

The Division is willing to support such recognition if necessary.

We believe that such recognition will demonstrate that Adventist people are grateful and know the value of those who often risk their comfort, their safety, and sometimes their lives to care for us.
