Bucaramanga, Colombia…[Alvaro Niño/IAD Staff]

On April 28, hundreds of Seventh-day Adventists joined the Dorcas Society Ministry during a special march to commemorate the 25th anniversary of ministering to the less fortunate indigenous people in the community and the region in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Over 2,000 Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) volunteers, Adventist youth and church members joined in the march to share messages of hope throughout the main streets of the city.

Also, more than 1,000 items of clothing were distributed.

The Dorcas Society Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist church through its voluntary work force has made an important contribution to the social work of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency in Colombia.

During the day’s march, government representatives expressed their gratitude to the Seventh-day Adventist church for its committed service during the 25 years through the work of ADRA and organizations such as the Dorcas Society Ministry.
