As the Seventh-day Adventist Church prepares for its General Conference Session to be held in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, July 3-12, 2025, submissions for musical numbers to be featured from each of the 13 world divisions are open for the next few months.

“As usual, we would like to see representation from our different languages and regions across the Inter-American Division (IAD),” said Jainie Pita, human resources director of the IAD and music coordinator for session event. “This is open to any Seventh-day Adventist in good standing, who wants to share his or her musical talents during the wonderful global event coming up soon.”

Music at the GC Session “is intended to create an uplifting atmosphere to ennoble and purify our thoughts, to foster commitment to the Lord and effectively influence us in the development of Christ’s character in our life and in that of others,” states part of the principles and guidelines set out.

Persons or groups can complete a specific application form online, then the music coordinator its committee team will review each submission. Once a submission is approved by the IAD, it will be passed on to the General Conference Session Music Committee for the audition process.  Once the submission is approved by the GC Music Committee, persons will be notified directly.

It’s a reviewing and vetting process that takes time and thoughtful prayer, said Pita. “Our standing committee will go through all of the applications, listen to all the songs and then make the selections.” In the past sessions, some eight to ten solos, trios, and musical groups from the IAD have been featured during the 10-day GC session.  The more quality options the better, she added.

“Participating in the music performances is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others around the world, showcasing our beautiful colors, cultures, and sharing the love of God and the gospel,” Pita said.

Partially completed forms cannot be saved or submitted so it is important to read the entire application form before responding or uploading any information to ensure that everything required is filled and completed.

Submissions should be completed by March 31, 2024.  Click HERE for additional information and to fill application form.
