October 4, 2024 | Miami, Florida, United States | By: Elie Henry, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America

Hello Brothers and Sisters. Happy Sabbath!

I am happy to greet you as we begin the month of October, and with it, the last quarter of the year.

We begin the week by recognizing the Seventh-day Adventist teachers who every day devote their time and effort to instruct our children and youth in different subjects of study, but above all to guide them to imitate the character of Jesus. Let us continue to pray consistently for our teachers, so that they will base their strength and decisions on the greatest of teachers, Jesus Christ.

Next Sabbath we will have the opportunity to thank those who minister in every church and congregation throughout the world. God has entrusted the care of His Church into the hands of the pastors. This is a precious and great responsibility before God and before the flock that they serve. So they need our support and our prayers for them and their families, in every phase of their ministry.

We remember the advice of the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 13:7, “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.”

May God continue to strengthen and guide every teacher and every pastor so that the Holy Spirit may fill them with wisdom, peace and joy in their service.

Maranatha!
