Just one day after Pastor Abner De Los Santos was elected as president of the Inter-American Division (IAD) during the 62nd General Conference Session in St. Louis, Missouri, delegates reconvened on July 8 to vote in the next key leaders for the region. Pastor Pierre Caporal was elected as executive secretary and Ivelisse Herrera as treasurer, both to serve alongside De Los Santos for the next five years.
Following the announcement of newly elected division secretaries and treasurers across the world field, Pastor Billy Biaggi, General Conference general vice president and chair of the morning business session, called on delegates to reflect on the spiritual significance of the moment. “Praise the Lord for all these leaders and thank the committee for all these nominations,” he said. “Fix your eyes on Christ.”
