Two dozen finalist from each of Inter-American Division’s (IAD) 24 unions will travel to Bogotá, Colombia, to compete in this year’s Bible Connection finale event, on Nov. 25, 2023. The finalists will get tested on their knowledge on the Book of Judges during a live program on Saturday, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Miami Time. Finalists will also answer questions from chapters 19, 52, and 53 of Adventist co-founder Ellen G. White’s Patriarchs and Prophets.
The territory-wide Bible Connection initiative is all about getting more young people into the habit of studying their bibles and drawing important life lessons as they face daily challenges in their lives, said Pastor Al Powell, youth ministries director of the IAD. “The annual bible finale competition is an exciting time for finalists to travel to another country, get to know each other and share experiences as a young group,” said Powell.
During the finale, participants will get a chance to answer 100 multiple-choice questions in front of a live audience at the Palermo Adventist Church in Bogota.
This year, there are three returning finalists from the Belize Union, Central Mexican Union and Honduras Union who will join the other 21 finalists for top prizes including full or partial scholarship to several Adventist Universities among other gifts. The event will be held in Spanish, English, and French on Nov. 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at webcast.interamerica.org
