A select group of Seventh-day Adventists pastors’ kids from across the Inter-American Division (IAD) will gather for the first-ever territory-wide Pastors’ Kids Retreat Feb. 8-9, 2020, in Miami, Florida, United States.  Hosted by the IAD’s Ministerial Association, the event will draw more than 200 young people accompanied by dozens of church leaders for two full days of presentations, networking and activities, organizers said.

“Pastors’s kids are part of the pastoral family of the church and we want to honor them and reassure them of their purpose and mission in this big world and the church,” said Cecilia Iglesias, shepherdess ministries for the church in Inter-America and main organizer of the retreat.

Many of the young people who range from ages 12-23, stand out in leadership and evangelism and are active in serving the community through different activities and initiatives every week in their local church, explained Iglesias.

Themed “Heirs of the Promise” the event will feature talks on leadership, health, social media, how to deal with criticism, mental health, and more.
