The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will hold a territory-wide Sabbath School Congress event from its headquarters office in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The live online event will focus on the mission of the Sabbath School, its role of discipling members to deepen a closer relationship with God, its function as an outreach ministry in the community and its impact in the lives of its members in readiness for eternal life, organizers said.

“Sabbath School is the heart of the church and with this event we want to give more visibility to the ministry and its effect in creating an environment for spiritual growth, building confidence, trust and faith in Jesus to reclaim missing members, focus on new members and strengthen current members,” said Pastor Samuel Telemaque, Sabbath School director for the church in Inter-America and main organizer of the event.

The six-hour live event is the first of its kind to be held in Inter-America and will include guest speakers from Adventist World Church Sabbath School leaders, Inter-American Division (IAD) top leaders, as well as special reports from vast church region.

Hundreds of Sabbath School leaders and teachers will be honored for completing the special certification training across the territory during the online event.

The Sabbath School Online Congress will be covered in English, Spanish and French and will begin Feb. 24, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Miami Time.
