Hello and Happy Sabbath!

I am happy to greet you on this special day when we remember and honor children and young people, and the important role they play in the church.

While childhood is a stage of discovery, growth and learning, youth is the stage in which important decisions are made, but as we develop, we can grow in our relationship with God and fulfill  the purpose He has for our lives.

This year’s theme, both for Global Youth Day and Global Children’s Day, is “Love is a Verb,” and today, the youth week of prayer begins under this same theme. We are invited to get mobilized in obedience to God, by following His example of sharing with those who need it most. This is why all church members will get involved in sharing thousands of copies of the book The Great Controversy.

Hebrews 13:16 says: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

Girls, boys, young men and women, participate today with this idea in mind, to please God through service. And brothers and sisters, let us also join with them in making a difference in the community and in the world by sharing our faith.

Maranatha!
