Below is  a message addressed to the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America from President of the Inter-American Division, Elie Henry–IAD News Staff

June 2, 2023 | Miami, Florida, United States | By: Elie Henry, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America

Hello, I am happy to greet you once again, after a few weeks full of activities in Inter-America.

After our Mid-Year Meetings, I personally had the opportunity to participate in the Montemorelos University graduation ceremonies in its 50th anniversary as an institution of higher education. Last Sabbath, we had a baptismal celebration from Belize where district pastors baptized more than 10,000 souls throughout our territory for the glory of Jesus Christ.

As we approach the month that marks the first half of the year, I want to invite you to reflect on God’s unconditional love and care for His church. We have just celebrated 160 years of existence as the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout the world, in which we highlight the fact that God has chosen us to fulfill His mission.

The celebration does not end with the month of May; rather, it is an opportunity to remember that we are part of a great global family, that as with the first disciples, God has called us to bring the message of love and salvation of Christ to all corners of the Earth.

Throughout this month of June there will be youth evangelism activities and witnessing in non-Adventist universities. We will celebrate Women’s Ministries emphasis day, training programs, and baptismal Sabbaths.

I invite you to take advantage of these and other initiatives, events and meetings, to recognize the greatness of our God and His immense love for us.

Let us remember what 1 Peter 2:9 says: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

Happy Sabbath!
