June 21, 2024 | Miami, Florida, United States | By: Elie Henry, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America

Hello, I am glad to greet you once again on this special Sabbath that has been designated as Public Campus Ministries (PCM) Day, the ministry that brings together Adventist students studying in non-Adventist institutions and whose objective is to support the mission of Jesus Christ and the Seventh-day Adventist Church by reaching others for Jesus.

When we talk about mission we often think of distant countries and different cultures. However, around us there are people who need to hear the message of hope and salvation. What I am saying is that in any neighborhood and in any city, we will always find opportunities to respond to the call that the Lord has given us to be His witnesses “in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. ” (Acts 1:8).

The theme “My City, My Mission” is an invitation that applies not only to PCM students, but also to each one of us, since we can all get involved by seeking opportunities to serve those most in need and sharing our faith. Let us pray for all the projects and that every act of kindness would be a blessing to those around us.

Let’s make a difference in our cities.

Maranatha!
