Hello, Dear Inter-American family. I invite you to open your Bible with me.
Today, in Matthew 28:19–20, we read:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This familiar passage reminds us of our reason for being a church. Jesus calls us to go, make disciples, and tell others about Him. But when we remember that the church is not made up of buildings, but of each one of us, I want to emphasize that the invitation to “go” is for you and for me.
Last month, the OneVoice27 initiative was launched around the world, and I am sure you have already begun to hear about and participate in this call. I want to remind you that this initiative is more than a campaign. It is an invitation to find new ways to use our voices, our gifts, our abilities, and the resources God has placed in our hands to tell others about Jesus.
Perhaps you will get involved by using social media or preaching from a pulpit. Maybe it will be through a creative project, distributing literature, or in some other way, whether innovative or traditional. What matters is remembering that your participation is a way of responding to God’s call, with the assurance that we do not go alone. Jesus Himself accompanies us as we fulfill the mission.
And that assurance rests on His promise: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Let us continue together, living the mission, hand in hand with Jesus.
