Urban evangelism camps, organized by the Mission Department of the Spanish Union of Churches Conference in the Inter-European Division, were conducted this summer in the Spanish cities of Ávila, Zamora, and Lugo. Participants engaged in service, connection, and proclaiming God’s love.
Testimonies
More than 2,000 individuals were reached for Christ through various activities, including the distribution of publications by approximately 150 missionaries. Among those encountered was Chus, a young woman who expressed heartfelt gratitude for a message of hope and for being taught to pray.

Each testimony transformed public spaces into open-air sanctuaries. Individuals came not only to listen but also with a sincere desire to be heard. The pressing need for the message of salvation was evident. This reaffirmed that the church’s mission transcends a mere calling; it represents a profound connection to the human heart.
Mission Impact Day in Ávila
In Ávila more than 120 volunteers, including entire families, took to the streets on Mission Impact Day. Together they offered hugs, smiles, and literature that conveyed messages of faith and hope.
Zamora Responded to the Call
The city of Zamora welcomed the Bible Expo, during which nearly 800 individuals had the opportunity to learn more about the message of salvation. More than 30 people expressed a desire for deeper engagement with the Bible, indicating the active work of the Holy Spirit in their hearts.
Seed Sown in Lugo
In Lugo the traveling ExpoSalud facilitated the sharing of healthful-living principles, resulting in the distribution of more than 1,000 missionary publications. Each resource served as a seed of hope for those in greatest need.
Invitation to Participate in the Mission
The Bible underscores the essential need for preaching: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Rom. 10:14).
Ellen G. White asserts: “God could have reached His object in saving sinners without our aid; but in order for us to develop a character like Christ’s, we must share in His work” (The Desire of Ages, p. 142).
Many participants and event organizers expressed appreciation for the evangelism camps. Church leaders also solicited prayers for every seed planted.
