For leaders of the Inter-American Division (IAD), One Voice 27 is more than just a communication initiative. It is a territory-wide call for every church member, ministry, institution, and media platform to unite in proclaiming Jesus Christ across 42 countries ahead of 2027.

During the IAD Executive Committee meetings on May 7, 2026, church leaders formally introduced the initiative as a coordinated evangelistic movement leading into the commemoration of the 2,000th anniversary of the baptism of Jesus in 2027.

Pastor Abner De los Santos, president of the IAD, said the initiative will require every church organization to intentionally engage communities both online and in person.

“When we speak about OneVoice27, what we expect is for unions to organize online evangelistic efforts using every available means of communication,” De los Santos said. “The idea is for every person to use what they have in fulfilling the mission.”

De los Santos explained that while the General Conference and the IAD will provide strategy, direction, training, and promotional resources, unions and local fields are expected to creatively implement evangelistic initiatives adapted to their territories and cultures.

He added that the initiative aims to mobilize the church to reach as many people as possible through social media, online campaigns, digital content, and local outreach activities.

A Historic Communication and Evangelistic Movement

Abel Márquez, communication director for the IAD, described OneVoice27 as one of the largest coordinated communication and evangelistic efforts ever organized across the territory.

“This is a historic communication movement for the Adventist Church worldwide,” Márquez said. “Around the world everyone will be speaking about the same hope, but each territory will contextualize it according to its culture and possibilities.”

Márquez explained that the initiative is rooted in the IAD strategic emphasis of “Living the Mission,” helping departments, institutions, local churches, and members unite around one roadmap and one shared mission focus.

“It is more important than ever to take to the church the mission of uniting together in the purpose of sharing that in Jesus all things are made new,” Márquez said.

He emphasized that OneVoice27 seeks to transform ordinary digital interaction into intentional evangelism by encouraging members to actively share messages of hope through social media, videos, online campaigns, and personal testimonies.

“Imagine this great communication campaign, this great marketing movement, promoting the message that in Jesus all things are made new,” Márquez said.

While the worldwide church initiative centers on the theme All Things New from Revelation 21:5, the IAD will add regional emphasis on Jesus Christ through the message Jesus Forever.

“We believe we must speak directly about Jesus,” Márquez said. “That is why our proposal in Inter-America is ‘All Things New—Jesus Forever.’”

Church leaders also unveiled a two-year roadmap outlining coordinated evangelistic, prayer, training, and digital outreach initiatives leading into September 2027. The roadmap includes spiritual activities focused on outreach, evangelism, and mission impact.

Plans for 2027 include the distribution of the missionary book All Things New on March 20, Total Health Impact initiatives, youth-led digital evangelism projects, health ministries festivals, lay congresses, GAiN global events, and 40 Days of Prayer activities across the territory.

The initiative is expected to culminate in September 2027 with territory-wide evangelistic campaigns and coordinated baptismal celebrations organized by every union across the IAD.

“This is our journey as an Inter-American family,” Márquez said. “To share that Jesus lives yesterday, today, and forever, and that in Him all things are made new.”

Every Ministry, Every Member

Youth Ministries Director Pastor Daniel Torreblanca announced plans to train and mobilize 1,000 “creative disciples” through podcasts, short films, social media challenges, and online evangelistic initiatives led by young people. Youth clubs will also host public viewing sites for evangelistic programs in parks, hospitals, prisons, and community centers.

Children’s and adolescents,  and women’s ministries, as well as ministerial spouses ministries will focus on online training initiatives and digital outreach efforts designed to equip them to share messages of hope through social media, prayer movements, and local church engagement.

Ministerial Association Secretary Pastor Josney Rodríguez said pastors, elders, and church leaders across the territory are being equipped with sermon resources, Bible study materials, online training events, and coordinated evangelistic plans leading into a territory-wide baptismal celebration scheduled for the week of Sept. 15-25, 2027.

“We are more than 100 people here who want to conquer the world for Christ,” Rodríguez said. “And we want to reach more than 300 million people across Inter-America.”

The rest of the IAD departments will also feature evangelistic, training, and outreach initiatives as part of the church’s strategic mission plan. More information on the IAD strategic roadmap and mission initiatives can be found at iwillgo.interamerica.org.

A Call for Spiritual Renewal

Leaders reaffirmed their commitment to making OneVoice27 a united movement of evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual revival across the IAD through special prayers of consecration by Ivelisse Herrera, IAD treasurer, Pierre Caporal, IAD executive secretary, and Sam Neves, vice president for Advancement and Communication at Hope Channel International.

Neves challenged leaders to embrace the moment with vision and humility as the church prepares for what many described as one of the largest coordinated evangelistic movements in the territory’s history.

“Perhaps we became leaders for a moment like this,” Neves prayed. “Help us plan, integrate, and offer the greatest proclamation Your church has had in the last 2,000 years.”
