Hello, Dear Inter-American family. I invite you to open your Bible with me.
Today, in Romans 12, verse 1, we read:
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
The apostle Paul wrote this letter at a time when the church was growing, multiplying, and bringing together believers from different cultural backgrounds. But notice that his initial emphasis was not on introducing programs or initiatives. His invitation was for them to make their own lives an offering to God.
Paul understood that before talking about what the church could do, it was necessary to talk about what each believer needed to become. That is why he used such a powerful image: a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
In the Inter-American Division, we have embraced the Every Church, One Church initiative. Across the territory, a movement of preparation and training is already underway. But at this stage, it is important to recognize that our most urgent priority as members is to consecrate our lives, our time, and our resources to God.
He is leading us to communities that need to be reached, generations that need hope, and places where a living presence of the gospel is needed. But He wants to know that we are willing to say:
Here is my life. Use it.
Here are my gifts. Use them.
Here is my church. Send us.
May we see new congregations established in the coming years as the fruit of consecrated members and churches that have truly decided to live the mission.
Happy Sabbath.
