The top leadership of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Inter-America will highlight the value of the gift of prophecy to the church with its first Spirit of Prophecy live program this Saturday, April 8, 2017.

The seminar presentations during the three-hour live event, themed “Believe His Prophets”, will fill a great need in the field for information about Ellen G. White’s ministry, church leaders said. White was a co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

“There are a lot of misconceptions about Ellen G. White writings,” said Pastor Leon B. Wellington, vice president of the church in Inter-America overseeing Spirit of Prophecy.  “Many off-shoot movements visit churches from time to time and confuse members, so it’s important to reaffirm the importance of the valuable writings which support the Bible.”

Presenters include Dr. James Nix, director of the White Estate, Pastor Leon B. Wellington, and Hector Sanchez, IAD ministerial association secretary, who will speak on how God used Ellen White to guide in the development of the Adventist Church and its development, how much of her teachings we still believe, and how preaching should be done in the Adventist church.

The live program will be carried on webcast.interamerica.org on April 8, in English, Spanish and French, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Miami Time.
