Hello happy Sabbath

I am happy to greet you on this first Sabbath of the month of February, which, like every year, is designated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout the world, as a day of personal outreach, sharing our faith, helping others and working in partnership with Jesus.

Unlike the days of impact or the great evangelism campaigns where we all get involved in large collaborative teams, today is different: It is about witnessing personally or as a family. Something as simple as giving out literature in the neighborhood, praying for a friend or family member, or even through a phone call or text message. Also, visiting someone who is sick, or sharing or having a meal with someone.

James 1:27 says: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27 NIV)

What an encouraging verse! Not only does it invite us to practice a religion that is not limited to a building or congregation, but it tells us to go out and help others for by doing so, we will have a shield that will protect us from the corruption of the world.

I hope that by helping others and sharing Jesus, you will be blessed and grow closer to God.

Maranatha!
