Hello Brothers and Sisters.

Happy Sabbath!

Today is Global Youth Day and Global Children’s Day in the Adventist Church. A great initiative where participants are out on the streets to proclaim the gospel through service to others. For the second consecutive year, we all have the opportunity to participate  by distributing thousands of copies of the book, The Great Controversy.

When I heard the theme chosen by the General Conference for this year, “Show up in the Cities,” I thought of Matthew Chapter 9, which recounts some miracles of Jesus in different cities and villages. Verse 36 says, “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”

On this special day we go out into the streets with the aim of contributing to the proclamation of the eternal gospel and the Second Coming of Christ Jesus, and by doing so we follow the command and example of Jesus. Moved with compassion, let us show up in the streets, villages, towns and large cities.

Let us pray that God will use us so that thousands of people will get a glimpse of His love and get to  know more about Him.

Maranatha!
