Seventh-day Adventists around the world will have the opportunity to engage in daily prayer during the church’s annual Ten Days of Corporate Prayer initiative, beginning January 8, 2025. The initiative encourages church members to spend meaningful time united in prayer, whether in congregations, small groups, homes, social networks, or individually.
The theme for this year’s initiative is “But When You Pray…” based on Matthew 6:6. Participants will have access to Bible promises, daily readings, prayer requests, outreach challenges, and more.
Pastor Samuel Telemaque, Sabbath School director and coordinator of the Back to the Altar initiative for the Inter-American Division (IAD), explained that this initiative offers members the chance to reflect on their personal relationship with God, read His Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to work in their hearts. It also fosters spiritual influence within the community.
“At a corporate level, when each member has a personal relationship with God, it creates a ripple effect within families, spreading unity, collaboration, and spiritual health throughout local congregations, districts, local conferences, unions, divisions, and the global church,” Telemaque said.
