Top Seventh-day Adventist leaders reaffirmed their commitment to uniting efforts in promoting a prayerful life and the study of the Scriptures in thousands of churches across Inter-America. The commitment came as leaders gathered tonight at the Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Jamaica, hours before the official launch of part three of Inter-America’s comprehensive spiritual revival and reformation initiative which began one year ago.

“If we truly believe that Jesus is coming soon, we must do everything with all our might,” said Pastor Israel Leito, president of the church in Inter-America as he reflected on Deuteronomy 9:10 and challenged church leaders, pastors and laypeople to continue motivating members to be ready spiritually for the Second Coming.

“We must find ways to encourage our members to remain constant in prayer, study [God’s] Word and witness,” said Pastor Leito as he addressed a crowd of about 400. “This is the generation. This is our time. No one can do this for us.”

Pastor Leito credited the inspired revival and reformation initiative introduced by Adventist world church President Pastor Ted N.C. Wilson to the worldwide church more than a year ago.

Pastor Wilson spoke briefly on the need for church leaders to humble themselves as they continue to lead spiritual revival in their territories with Inter-American Division’s (IAD) wide-ranging initiative.

“This weekend we will have opportunity of reviving our spirits, our lives in complete dedication ‘So that the world may know‘”, said Pastor Wilson.

“When you leave this place, don’t let anyone distract you from the true mission of doing God’s work,” he added. “Help the world know that Jesus is coming soon.”

Church presidents from Inter-America’s largest urban areas spoke on the positive impact of revival and reformation in their respective territories and reflected on the need to strengthen efforts to reach one million people with the message this year through the Vision One Million program.

Spiced with various musical presentations, the two-hour program also featured concepts for the official launch to be broadcast live on The Hope Church Channel, Esperanza TV and 3ABN Latino, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 10:00 am. Jamaica Time or Eastern Standard Time. The program will be broadcast through 3ABN
