In less than a week, thousands of Seventh-day Adventists from all over the world will convene in San Antonio, Texas for the 60th General Conference Session to participate in business meetings and have an opportunity to visit hundreds of exhibit booths showcasing Adventist organizations and their institutions.

The Inter-American Division (IAD), with its vast territory of 24 major church region and various institutions, will get to highlight its vast multi-cultural, multi-language territory in its large exhibit display area during the 10-day session.

The IAD is renting 89 booths to display more than a dozen of its institutions and feature three unions, or church regions, every day, drawing thousands to its open wide spaces, organizers said.

Pastor Leon B. Wellington, vice president and communication director for the church in Inter-America and general manager of the booth, says he’s excited to feature among the largest display areas at the Session.

“The Inter-American Division represents scores of different cultures and languages, so the session gives us the opportunity to celebrate our successes as a church and highlight some of the challenges we face in working with so much diversity,” says Wellington.

IAD’s booth area will feature 16 organizations as well as union representatives who will be stationed at the IAD booth area each day passing out gifts, souvenirs and more, organizers said.

Abel Marquez, IAD associate communication director overseeing production and art director for the booth says visitors will feast their eyes on design-rich 36-booth area at the IAD’s main booth.

“There will be a corner stage set up for interviews and special features where IAD’s institutions and organizations will share information and giveaways everyday,” says Marquez.

“We are excited to offer news, video reports, and photo gallery online for the thousands who will not be able to attend and are able to connect and experience with us what will be happening at the IAD booth,” explains Marquez.
