Montego Bay, Jamaica…[Princess Lawes/IAD]

The Executive Committee of the West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventist voted the appointment of Pastor Glen O. Samuels to lead as president for the church in that region on August 9. Pastor Samuels succeeds Pastor Balvin Braham who was recently elected to serve as associate director for the Ministerial Association and Youth department at the Inter-American Division Headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Pastor Samuels, who formerly served as Ministerial Secretary, Personal Ministries and Sabbath school director for the church in West Indies territory will head the church in West Jamaica, alongside Pastor Charles T. Brevitt, executive secretary and Carmelita E. Findlay, treasurer.

There are nearly 62,000 Seventh-day Adventist worshiping in 191 churches and congregations in the West Jamaica region which is comprised of the parishes of St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Hanover and St. James in the West Indies.
