Hours after the General Conference voted to re-elect Pastor Israel Leito as president of the church in Inter-America and other church world leaders, Dr. Elie Henry was elected as executive secretary and Filiberto Verduzco was re-elected as treasurer of the Inter-American Division (IAD).
Dr. Elie Henry, 54, has served as one of three vice presidents in the IAD since 2000. Henry has over 31 years of denominational service in Inter-America and holds a Th.D in Theology and a Master’s in Theology Strabourg from France.
A native of Haiti, Dr. Henry’s career began as a district pastor in Haiti, then as union president. He has also served as human resources director of the IAD.
Dr. Henry is married to Ketlie Henry and has three daughters.
Filiberto Verduzco, 58, has served as treasurer of the church in Inter-America since 2000. Verduzco has more than 30 years of denominational service in Inter-America and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Sonora’s Technological Institute.
Born in Mexico, Verduzco’s church service began as general manager of the Inter-American Health Food Company’s Colpac branch. His years of service also include vice president of finances and vice president of development of Montemorelos University in Mexico.
Verduzco is married to Alma Yanes Verduzco and has two sons and five grandchildren.
Other church leaders of the Inter-American Division will be elected this week.
