The Youth Department of the Inter-American Division recently printed the new version of the Youth Ministry manual. The manual is now available to youth leaders at every church level. The last version was published in 1988.

The book was updated and expanded to meet to the growing and changing needs of our time, says pastor Bernardo Rodriguez, youth director for the church in Inter-America.

“This will be an excellent working tool for each one involved in youth ministry,” he says. “We took some of the guidelines from the previous version by the General Conference and added new material which answers the what’s and how’s of a successful youth ministry.”

The new manual, which took about three years to prepare, is divided into four recently implemented by the General Conference Youth Department: discipleship, leadership, evangelism and service.

The book outlines practical work plans where youth ministires can design activities with those four areas in mind.

The Spanish version of the manual, “Manual Juvenil,” is now available through the local field’s youth department. The English version of the new manual will be available next April, and the French version will be ready later this summer.

For more information on this manual or other youth materials contact the IAD Youth department at 305.403.4700 or at youth@interamerica.org.
