In just a few hours 15 finalists will go head-to-head to compete in this year’s Inter-American Bible Bowl grand finale which will be streamed live over the internet Saturday, July 28 from Medellin, Colombia.

The finalists which represent Inter-America’s major Adventist church regions will get to answer 40 of the toughest questions on the Books Ecclesiastes, Proverbs and Song of Solomon during the one-hour event.

According to Pastor Bernardo Rodriguez, youth ministries director for the church in Inter-America and organizer of the event, this year’s grand finale was purposely moved earlier for a special reason.

“We wanted to make the Bible Bowl a major part of our Youth Leadership and Prayer Convention in Medellin so finalists can be cheered by their peers and to encourage our youth leaders to commit to making the study of the Bible an integral part of their lives,” Pastor Rodriguez said.

Nearly 5,000 Adventists attending Inter-America’s Youth Leadership and Prayer Conference which began earlier this week will witness the event live from Medellin’s Plaza Mayor Convention Center. More young people across the churches from throughout the territory are expected to view the live webcast which is set to begin Saturday, July 28 beginning at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (Miami Time).

In addition to the the competition being streamed live over the internet, Esperanza TV, 3ABN Latino and ADvenir will transmit the program beginning at 5:00 p.m. during the last part of Bible Bowl competition as well as the conclusion of the Youth Leadership and Prayer Convention scheduled to end at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
