Nine local church pastors from across North America will meet with Pastor Jan Paulsen, president of the Seventh-day Adventist world church, on September 13 for a live, unscripted broadcast.

The broadcast, Pastors: In Conversation, will provide an opportunity for Pastor Paulsen to hear firsthand from pastors about their “experiences of joy, frustration, concern and fulfillment in their special ministry,” said Rajmund Dabrowski, Communication director at the world church headquarters.

Paulsen said that among the ministerial assignments given by God, none is more important than that of the local church pastor.

“The most complete spiritual life of our church communities is experienced, nurtured and shaped in local congregations,” he said. “And the shepherds entrusted with the responsibility for that life are local pastors.”

Church leaders anticipate the program will spawn similar live conversations and broadcasts around the world. The September 13 event is being staged at the Adventist Media Center in Simi Valley, California.

The one-hour broadcast will air live on the Hope Channel, http://hopetv.org/, at 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
